The Great Divide
You know that rift in American politics? It’s getting wider.
Last night, incumbent Joe Lieberman lost the democratic primary for the Conneticut Senatorial seat to the more liberal Ned Lamont. At the same time, incumbent Michigan Republican Joe Schwartz lost his primary to his more conservative challenger.
I don’t know what else to say… other than “why am I in this handbasket?”
Any takers? Trend or mirage?

I’m not sure what to think. And I’m not sure what “moderate” is anymore

Well, seeing that Lieberman won quite convincingly against Ned Lamont, in the general election. I think there is some hope.

The passionate center has spoken. Sort of like extra-medium, eh Jer?
